Memorial Hall Shanghai Yat-Sen
A famous revolutionary.
The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial in Shanghai is the former villa of Sun Yat-Sen, the famous president of the Chinese democratic revolution, also the first president of the Chinese Kuomintang. The villa has been turned into a museum with galleries over two floors. There is a large mural of 25 metres in length on the ground floor depicting a century of history in Singapore (from 1840 to 1940). Several art forms are represented on the second floor: calligraphy, painting and sculpture.
Of course, Sun Yat-Sen's story is well documented through videos and photographs.
Admire the huge bronze statues in the garden that are dedicated to Sun Yat-Sen.
