A city that is undeniably in tune with the art world, Shanghai has proposed a big fair devoted to art called the Shanghai Art Fair since 1997.
Since its inception, the fair has attracted more than 1,000 art galleries, cultural organisations and other agencies. Works by many great masters (Monet, Picasso, Rembrandt etc.) rub shoulders with the work of budding artists from China and Asia, as well as from some thirty countries around the world.
